AusME 2024 Design Competition has now closed!

Attention all creatives!

AusME24 wants your help to create our new conference merch. This year, we will be hosting our first ever design competition to turn your artwork into AusME’s official conference merchandise. Available for pre-order, with limited stock available for purchase at the conference, your design could be featured on t-shirts worn by delegates to commemorate the event. 

Here’s what you will need to do:

Produce an original design that incorporates ‘AusME24’ and the spirit of microbial ecology. Designs will be voted on and the winner’s artwork will be used for our conference in October.

Contest rules

Eligibility:

This contest is open to all.

Design:

The use of copyrighted, trademarked and intellectual property, including but not limited to characters, titles and attractions is strictly prohibited in your design.

  • Designs must be submitted in vectorised PDF or .eps format.

  • File size is restricted to a maximum of 5MB

  • Submissions must be made through the Google form: https://forms.gle/XNhV35pK7Zw2qbbN6 

  • Explicit imagery and language are prohibited.

Award 

The competition winner will receive a complimentary t-shirt featuring their design. The winner will also be announced on all social media and recognised at the AusME 2024 conference. The winner will be notified by September 30th.

Judging

All submissions that meet the eligibility criteria will be posted on the AusME social media platforms with a winner selected through public voting. In the event of a tie, a winner will be selected through random drawing. 

Originality

By entering the competition, you agree that your submission is your own work. The design must be your own original, unpublished work and must not include any third-party logos nor copyrighted material.

Right to Edit:

The AusME Committee shall have the right to edit, composite, scan, duplicate or alter the entry design for any purpose which it deems necessary or desirable, without the need for any further permission.

Retention of Design:

Once your design is submitted to the AusME 2024 Committee, it becomes the property of AusME. The AusME Committee has exclusive rights to the reproduction of all entries and the submitting artists relinquish all rights to such design. All proceeds from the sale of the t-shirts will go to the AusME Committee for future activities.
