A/Prof Peta Clode
Peta completed a PhD on coral calcification mechanisms at La Trobe University in 2002. From this she developed interests in structure-function relationships (particularly in symbiotic / parasitic systems) and in ion and nutrient transport strategies. Since 2003 Peta has been an academic at The University of Western Australia, where she is now responsible for leading applications in imaging and characterisation of biological systems in the Centre for Microscopy, Characterisation and Analysis (CMCA). Her recent publications extend from C and N dynamics in symbiotic systems to understanding human/wildlife pathogens. The CMCA is an open-access infrastructure facility that houses a unique suite of imaging and analytical equipment, which is supported by specialist academic and professional staff.
